Fptp forces people to vote Tory

The problem with the Tory position on first past the post (assuming they are against socialism) is that people can and do vote Labour. This means that there is no advantage in denying people full access to the power of government. There is no point restricting democracy with fptp since people can and do vote Labour. Labour is the reason why fptp doesn't and cannot work. People still have a choice. People are less likely to stop socialism if the only means by which to do so is to vote Tory. Fptp is good for socialism because it means the Tories are the only thing which can prevent socialism... whereas with pr there are many different ways to stop socialism... and the government. With fptp only the Tories are bad for the government but with pr there are many different parties which are bad for the government. Pr gives people more choices to stop the government... fptp forces them into supporting one party only which is bad for the Libertarian position. Under fptp only the Tories can stop socialism but with pr there are many such parties. This means that with pr Libertarians have more choice and as a result there will be more Libertarians. Fptp stops people being Libertarian because it compels them into voting Tory. Fptp forces Libertarians to vote Tory which is bad for freedom. It is not good to force Libertarians to vote for a single party.
